Pioneering artist Judy Chicago gave new meaning to the work that women could create. Over six decades, Chicago's identity as a Jewish woman informed her visions in installation, abstraction, and pyrotechnics, advancing conversations of gender politics along the way and infusing them with personal experience. This exhibition focuses on Chicago's works on paper, including preliminary studies for The Dinner Party, as well as glass works and large-scale prints. Turning Inward charts the radical, often controversial whirlwind of Chicago's career, reasserting her status as an original artist-activist.
