When one has the opportunity to hear the sparkling vocals of Weezy Ford, one should take advantage of said opportunity. Ford's take on vintage surf rock and French yé-yé pop is fresh yet classic and light yet profound, which puts her, in my mind, among indie rock queens like Angel Olsen and Cate Le Bon.
