William Deresiewicz is thinking hard about some topics you might relate to. Why did you go to college? Is the internet bad for you? Why do you think about Mad Men all the time? What's the point of art, exactly? In The End of Solitude, the author and former Yale professor compiles 40 probing essays that look closely at current culture while pondering how we might find more freedom as individuals. Deresiewicz will be joined in conversation by Audrey Bilger, president of Reed College.
