Saturday, December 5 is Repeal Day, also known as the anniversary of the ratification of the Twenty-First Amendment, which repealed the prohibition of alcohol. Jamie Boudreau's James Beard-nominated "whiskey and bitters emporium" is now closed indefinitely, but they'll be slinging drinks for pre-ordered pickup from their window on this Saturday, December 5 for Repeal Day. One option, the "Nirvana's Repeal," is an updated Old-Fashioned with Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style bourbon, Amer Boudreau, Punt e Mes, maraschino, and Benedictine & Boker’s bitters, available in a bottle, a flask, or even a book with a secret booze compartment to shield your drinks from prying eyes. Some cocktails are already sold out, so get your orders in as early as possible if you want to partake in the festivities.
