Happy rosé season to those who celebrate! Whatever your thoughts on the increasingly ubiquitous blush beverage, it's hard to imagine a drink better suited for warm weather and picnics. In anticipation of National Rosé Day this Saturday, June 11, we've compiled a list of places to get your fill of summery pink wine around town, from specials like rosé and watermelon sorbet at Salt & Straw to a Rosé Market and Tasting at Lark. In the mood for a side of haunting gothic fiction with your rosé? Phinney's pop-up bookstore and natural wine shop Drink Books suggests anything by Shirley Jackson as a pairing for Martin & Anna Arndorfer Zweigelt Rosé.

Pete's Supermarket and Wine Shop Add to a List
This Lake Union shop dubs its refreshing Cadence Coda 2021 Rosé (50% petit verdot, 50% cabernet franc coda rosé) "summer in a bottle," with "pomelo and powdered sugar notes on the nose" and "strawberries on the palate."

Salt & Straw
The Portland-based artisan ice creamery proves that rosé doesn't have to be relegated to wine with its new vegan Pink Rosé & Watermelon Sorbet, part of its seasonal "Summer Picnic" series for June. Made in collaboration with the Oregon-based Sokol Blosser Winery, the flavor involves a watermelon and rosé punch base with swirls of raspberry rosé jam.

Look forward to combos like Librandi Ciro Doc Rosato Calabria 2021 with pissaladière (a flatbread with black olives, caramelized onion, anchovy, and thyme), Wölffer Estate Summer in a Bottle Cotes de Provence 2021 with hand-slimed Ibérico ham, and Gaia 14-18 Agiorgitiko Pelopennese 2020 with grilled lamb merguez.
