Altered States
The following description comes from the event organizer.
Altered States is a group exhibition at Western Neon School of Art presenting eight Pacific Northwest artists working with light, space, and interactive technologies. Each participants’ work is concerned with the mutability of illuminated media, and how this elusive material can be manipulated, transformed or morphed into new meanings. While these artists use a variety of approaches and techniques to reflect a fracturing planet, they all remain resolute that through process and dedication, a positive path is before us.
*Live illuminated tube creation from start to finish will be on display with founding teacher Kelsey Fernkopf during the exhibition opening hours from 4:30-7:30 pm. Kelsey Fernkopf, William Kirtley, Marisa Manso , Tania Kupczak, Kaelyn McGowen, Ron Smith, Yale Wolf, Alanna McBride and Dylan Neuwirth.
