The following description comes from the event organizer.

In 2018, prompted by the crisis of Climate Change, I began the series of collage works entitled Sea Change. I live every day with both heartbreak and courage. These artworks are dedicated to the most vulnerable people living in coastal mega-cities who are already losing ground, with the pace increasing each and every day.

In 2020, I knew I had to do more in the fight to save our most precious resource, this extraordinary planet. To that end, I am closing my art practice and this is my last exhibition, so I can dedicate my time I to furthering education, policy, and legislation to protect what we cannot afford to lose.

I am honored, and it is a privilege, to show this work with Ken Barnes, whose stone sculptures provide the anchor I need. I am also grateful to all the past and current members of Shift gallery for the opportunity to share this work.

First Thursday Opening Reception August 5, 5-8pm
