The following description comes from the event organizer.

Goethe Pop Up Seattle partners with Lowercase Brewing and Bottleworks to can German-American Friendship – and we want YOU to help us design the label for the beer release in summer 2021.

This workshop immerses itself in Bauhaus philosophy and focuses primarily on graphic design. This background will inform and inspire the practical component of the workshop: designing the label for the latest beer creation from Lowercase Brewing.

The workshop will take place virtually and the number of participants is limited. Some experience with graphic design is desired but not required. The workshop is appropriate for anyone from beginners to established designers. In the weeks following the second workshop session, a jury will select a B(r)auhaus label from the workshop results submitted by June 1st, which will get printed on the new beer can of the Lowercase brewery! The designer of the winning label will receive a design fee of $500.

Workshop sessions will take place over Zoom on May 15 & 22. Send an email to info-seattle@goethe.de to register.
