Some of the best artists currently working in the Pacific Northwest use neither canvas nor plaster as their medium, rather, skin is their chosen means of expression. The art of tattooing has a deep and rich history, especially here in the PNW. Body of Work dives headfirst into the topic, using large-scale infographics, historical and contemporary photography, interviews, short film, and interactive experiences to tell this story. The show also features work by several practicing Northwest tattoo artists like Seattle-based Lolli Morlock’s neon-dripping, fever dream creations, and the swirling black-and-white work of Vancouver-based Nomi Chi. by Jas Keimig
