Bruce and Ju-Chan Fulton, who have to count as among the foremost translators of Korean fiction into English today, present their newest translated work, Un-yŏng Ch’ŏn’s The Catcher in the Loft (State University of New York Press). First published in South Korea a decade ago, it spans a period from the 1980s into the 2000s, the story of a young woman who doesn’t know her fugitive father was a torturer in earlier times.
