The following description comes from the event organizer.

Humans are fluid beings, susceptible to the emotional and physical pull of the tides. The waves that shape the shore, shape us. Water contains history, has its own history, and impacts human history—where we can live, how we sustain ourselves, and the ways we’ve connected with each other over the centuries. We revere water as the source of life and are in awe of its unknowable depths. Across languages, water metaphors and similes for human states permeate. This collection of videos explores the poetic influence of water on our internal tides.

PLEASE NOTE: This showcase is on loop in the gallery at Seattle Art Museum (1300 1st Ave) Mar. 18 – May 30. Please register for a ticket to schedule your visit.
