Carrie Clark & the Lonesome Lovers with Willow + Wood
The following description comes from the event organizer.
Seattle band, Carrie Clark and The Lonesome Lovers are hosting a post-pandemic-in-person-celebration for their new album, Split at the Seams, and a kick off for their European tour. Carrie Clark and the Lonesome Lovers draw from the broad palettes of Americana, folk, and rock to craft their own distinct flavor of modern pop honkey-tonk. Completed during the pandemic, Split at the Seams has been described as expansive, just a touch rugged, and undeniably beautiful.
Nashville folk noir duo, Willow + Wood is Scrivner and Kevin Wood, a married couple who create a sonic landscape of both solitude and beauty, hovering between the warmth of Americana and the cool darkness of dream pop. The band’s music is transcendent: both a study of the geography of place, and the constant search for home. Their new release, Tornadoes In My Head, aches with both hope and a broken heart. Those contradictions are at the core of what makes this duo so special. Falling somewhere between indie pop and indie folk, they have created a sound rooted in a West Coast reverb-drenched loneliness, dripping with southern humidity and darkness – and determined to find the magic.
