Join us for our first-ever in-person poetry reading in our new space at 108 Cherry Street! Claire Schwartz, author of the newly published and gorgeous debut full-length collection CIVIL SERVICE (Graywolf), will be joined by Lena Khalaf Tuffaha and Gabrielle Bates for a reading and conversation, with audience Q&A and book signings to follow.

Author Bios:
Claire Schwartz is the author of the poetry collection Civil Service. Her writing has appeared in Granta, the Nation, Poetry Magazine, Virginia Quarterly Review, and elsewhere. The winner of a Whiting Award in poetry and a Pushcart Prize, Claire is the culture editor of Jewish Currents.
Lena Khalaf Tuffaha’s first book, Water & Salt, won the 2018 Washington State Book Award for Poetry. She is also the author of two chapbooks, Arab in Newsland, winner of the 2016 Two Sylvias Prize, and Letters from the Interior. Her writing has been published in journals including Los Angeles Review of Books, Michigan Quarterly Review, the Nation, and New England Review. She is the translator and curator of Poems from Palestine, a bi-weekly series published by The Baffler.
Gabrielle Bates is the author of Judas Goat, forthcoming from Tin House in January 2023. A co-host of the podcast The Poet Salon, her writing has appeared in the New Yorker, the Academy of American Poets Poem-a-Day, Ploughshares, American Poetry Review, and elsewhere.
