I still have white flecks of paint on a certain shirt I was wearing the night I went to Cucci’s Critter Barn, in the basement bar Kremwerk, and sat a little too close to the stage, and one of the queens  started playing with a puddle of paint that the previous performer had left behind. Started putting various body parts in it. Started flinging that wet paint at the crowd. That’s just the kind of insane shit that happens at Cucci’s very punk, very messy, often uproarious drag happenings. What will the pride show be like? God only knows. by Christopher Frizzelle
