"Dare to Dance Seattle is excited to present our first-ever Summer Festival series. This free outdoor event builds community connections by combining dance performances, audience-participation workshops, and cultural exchange. The festival will be held in three Seattle parks over four days from 1pm to 5pm: July 9th & 10th at Cal Anderson Park, July 30th at Roxhill Park, and July 31st at Othello Park.

Each day will feature a diverse lineup of dance artists who will not only perform, but also lead the audience through a workshop to learn some choreography. Participating artists include Afsaana Dance Company, El Rincón de la Salsa Cubana, Gabriela Condrea, Miyoung Margolis Dance Collective, The MossyBack Morris Men, Parmida Ziaei, and many more, covering dance styles such as traditional, shuffle, hip-hop, Latin, Bollywood, and K-pop. The Cal Anderson dates are hosted by local drag personality Delyla Dalyte.

The festival is free and open to the public. Pre-registered participants will receive a free gift and be entered into a raffle. Register at DaretoDanceSeattle.org.

Dare to Dance Summer Festival is partly funded by the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture and Seattle Parks & Recreation.

Founded in 2010, Dare to Dance Seattle is a nonprofit organization with a mission to provide rich performing arts opportunities, celebrate diversity, and support culturally vibrant communities. Learn more at DaretoDanceSeattle.org." (Promo Copy)
