The following description comes from the event organizer.

Native food rights are human rights. Join the Discovery Center, the First Nations Development Institute and Gates Foundation Indigenous Communities Employee Resource Group for a screening of the film "Gather," followed by an engaging panel discussion with Indigenous leaders.
Learn about the growing movement among Indigenous Americans to reclaim their health and cultural identities through sovereignty over their ancestral food systems, while battling against the historical trauma brought on by centuries of genocide.
The panel will be moderated by Mike Roberts, CEO, First Nations Development Institute.
Speakers include: Elsie DuBray, student at Stanford, A-dae Briones, Director of Programs - Native Agriculture and Food Systems, First Nations Development Institute, and Chef Nephi Craig, executive chef of The Summit Restaurant at Sunrise Park Resort in Whiteriver, Arizona.
Closed captioning will be provided for the film and ASL will be provided for the panel discussion.
Registration is requested but not required.
Not able to come in person? A hybrid option will be available — stay tuned for details.
