The following description comes from the event organizer.

Genealogist Liv Marit Haakenstad presents her latest book, A Guide to Norwegian Genealogy, Emigration, and Transmigration.

About the book:
The first part of Haakenstad's book gives an overall view on the Norwegian emigration history, before taking you to Great Britain, which was one of several routes for transmigration. Further on, you will get an insight on what happened when Norwegian emigrants arrived in North America.

The second part is about sources in the United States and Canada. What information can you find in these sources that show the way back to Norway? The book also thoroughly covers Norwegian sources. Finally, the whole book finishes off with a chapter about genealogical methods.
