The following description comes from the event organizer.

A creative series of copper sculptural paintings spanning the year of 2022 and converging into one exhibit by Jessica deCosta.

Using repurposed copper panels and weathered relics of the past, Jessica mixes displays of new copper paintings that move with sculpted creatures floating and leaping from the copper sheets and adding the nostalgic folk art of the weathervane.

HER Own falling, flying, leaping, buzzing, and becoming is offered as a shared experience intended to extract redemption from the messes. HER Own experiences and delights in the darkness guided by the courage to be vulnerable enough to be seen. These visual stories are both personal and universal. With intentions of serving the individual and the observer. in the need of mythologization of the local environment and the world in keeping the new vision of the universe alive. We invite you to explore the moment in relationship to each copper creation.
