Iguales was an instrumental collective active in composing, recording, performing and progressive civic engagement within the Northwest region in the early 2000s. Originally a power trio started by Andy Coe (guitar), Jefferson Rose (bass) and Aaron Walker-Loud (drum set), then evolving into a quintet with added percussionists Ivan Galvez and Thione Diop; Iguales shared stages with many dynamic artists including the Massive Monkees, Midnite, People Under The Stairs, Jumaane Smith, Yeke Yeke, Rachel Rose, GodSpeed, Giant Panda and more.
With a rich background in Jazz and a joyful enthusiasm for Blues and Psychedelic Rock, Andy Coe is recognized as a deeply intuitive, emotive guitarist. As an architect of sound and style, Coe draws in listeners, making collective exploration and resolution accessible across genres.
Jefferson Rose is a bassist, producer and founding member of Iguales. After Iguales split up, Jefferson played in various groups in Spain from 2007-2011 and then returned to Seattle to form Jefferson Rose Band. JRB released two albums, ‘Seismic’ (which featured the Iguales crew) and ‘Feel Like Dancing’, the later enjoyed 28 weeks on the CMJ World Music Top 40. He later formed Latin Soul group, The Pazific with wife and singer Alex Rose that is currently performing in Seattle and beyond. Jefferson is also producing the record for local band Reposado, as well as music scores for various independent films.
Ivan Galvez is a veteran percussionist in the Seattle area, and current member of the True Loves Band and Big World Breaks. In 2008, Ivan became a member of a well-known Latin band in Seattle called Picoso for which music has been used in shows like Burn Notice and other short films. In 2014 Ivan started working with Grace Love & The True Loves, playing Funk, Soul, Gospel and R&B until 2016 when The True Loves and Grace decided to part ways. The True Loves Band have since released highly respected albums which have frequently played on radio stations across the globe.
