Americana singer-songwriter James McMurtry writes a lot of songs about classism and xenophobia in America, saying in an interview with the New York Times in 2017, "The image of the black welfare queen driving the Cadillac while good white folk drove Oldsmobiles was the boogeyman of the ’80s. Now I suppose it’s Mexican immigrants getting free health care." He should have plenty of new material inspired by this Trumpian hellscape. (Plus some lovelorn ballads.)
