Lilac Days
Lilacs: They're not just purple anymore. Take in the intoxicating scent of the multi-hued beauties at Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens, a National Historic Site about an hour north of Portland. Named after German immigrant-turned-Washingtonian Hulda Klager, the garden farmhouse and gift shop has reopened after a pandemic closure with lilac plants and other floral goodies for sale. The event even promises a "new barn museum with exhibits [on the theme of] Hats from the Past." This has your mom's name written all over it.
