"Want to experience glorious classical wind chamber music that is off the beaten path? Hosted by Wayward Music Series, Puget Sounds Wind Quintet will perform a concert of music by living composers, including a world premiere of Wind Quintet #3 by established northwest composer David P. Jones. Hear also an array of styles within the classical contemporary genre that explore the quintessential wind sound. Works include Frank Ticheli's indeterminate In C-Dorian composed in modular form for the COVID-19 era; Don Bowyer's compact and startling atonal jaunt, 5-4-3 Miniatures; Eric Ewazen's programmatic epic Roaring Fork illustrating natures's beauty in sound; and Valerie Coleman's energetic celebration of unity, Umoja.

Free admission made possible with support from Music Performance Trust Fund and the Musicians' Club of Seattle. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required for entry. Reservation of free tickets is encouraged, as space is limited to allow for social distancing.
