When this film came out in May of 2015, I called it the greatest film of its kind ever made. The only thing time has done to alter that assessment is make me wonder if maybe “of its kind” was unnecessarily equivocal. Now, George Miller’s mega-masterpiece of style as substance is presented in a black-and-white print (which Miller says is how he truly envisioned the film) that promises a whole new way of seeing the miracle of its kineticism.
