The Stranger's own Eli Sanders is being honored with the 2019 Bunting Award—an award presented by the Washington Coalition for Open Government to organizations or individuals for journalistic work that "utilizes, advances, or educates about the state’s Open Public Meetings Act/Public Records Act"—for his reporting on Facebook and Google's repeated violations of Washington state's campaign disclosure laws. Cheers to him with a cup of coffee at this awards breakfast, which will also honor the recipients of the James Madison Award and the James Andersen Award.
