Although he didn’t reach mainstream success until his 2008 hit "Hey (I Love You)," the Oakland-hailing rapper, musician, poet, and singer-songwriter Michael Franti began his music career back in the '80s as a part of the industrial punk band The Beatnigs. He will return to Seattle with his current project for an evening of family-friendly pop-fusion jams that promote messages of peace, positivity, and social justice.
