Music of Remembrance: The Parting
Recommended
"Never forget" was the refrain the world adopted in response to the horrors of the Holocaust. Music of Remembrance takes that charge seriously, using symphonic music's ability to transcend time and create emotional connections between an audience and those touched by the Shoah and other tragedies. This spring, they mark their 21st season with "The Parting," an opera by composer Tom Cipullo and librettist David Mason that explores the life and work of Miklós Radnóti, who is considered one of the most vital poetic witnesses to the Holocaust.
