National Doughnut Day was originally created to honor the Salvation Army volunteers who distributed doughnuts to soldiers during World War I. You can get your fill of glazed goods and yeasted treats at Top Pot’s National Doughnut Day, where you will find the biggest doughnut eating contest in the city.
