The following description comes from the event organizer.

Elizabeth Putnam is the artist behind Custodio Taxidermy, a studio pursuing the preservation of natural history through art to inspire curiosity and conservation.

The April 6th Art Walk at Zeitgeist will feature new entomology designs that showcase lepidoptera from around the world.

Butterflies are symbolic creatures in addition to being important pollinators. They often represent transformation, resurrection, and new beginnings. Butterfly allegories and their critical function in ecosystems is what drives Elizabeth's designs and fascination.

All specimens come from reputable sources. No animals are killed for this art.
