O’HORTEN (2007) 1H29M
Rated PG-13 | Norwegian with English subtitles

Written & directed by Bent Hamer

Train engineer Odd Horten is forced to retire after 40 years of driving the rails, releasing him from printed timetables and the familiar grooves between train stations. But the structure and mundaneness is where he is comfortable. What does “retirement” have in store for Odd Horten? Here’s an absurd little film with great warmth, a little melancholy and universal appeal.x
