Channel your rage, grief, and resilience at Wildrose's open mic night hosted by Seattle Dyke March, which will honor those injured and murdered in the Club Q shooting with a night of refuge and queer expression. Sign up for a five-minute time slot, or build community amid performances of poetry, prose, music, and more. Direct links to verified funds will be shared to support survivors and victims' families.
Open Mic Details:
Slots will be ~5 minutes long; a “1 minute” reminder sign will be shown to assist with time tracking.
Covers and readings of non-original work are welcome.
We will have a sound engineer, with setup for multiple microphones and stands. There are no guitar amps or plug-ins.
Accessibility Details:
The Wildrose Bar has an accessible entrance.
We are working to secure ASL interpreters for this event and encourage anyone signing up to bring copies of their lyrics/poetry/scripts, etc for interpreting purposes.
COVID POLICY:
Masks will be required at this Open Mic, except when actively drinking or during a performers slot (when they will be separated from the audience). We will have masks available and will provide reminders throughout the evening for attendees to continue masking.
The Wildrose Bar encourages but does not require masking. This means attendees will likely be exposed to unmasked patrons in other portions of the bar.
We will also be hosting a virtual open mic night via zoom on Thursday, December 15th from 7-9pm. Register at https://bit.ly/virtualopenmic1215 for the link.
