As you know, June is Orca Month in the Pacific Northwest! Orca Month is a chance to celebrate one of our region’s most iconic wildlife species and reflect on the plight of these fragile creatures.

As a part of Orca Month festivities, Alki Kayak Tours in collaboration with Washington Environmental Council (WEC) is offering special kayak tours each Saturday in June for paddlers to learn about the Southern Resident orca. Each week will feature a new guest speaker from the staff at WEC!

We will kayak from the Seacrest Boathouse (Marination Cafe) to the Alki Lighthouse and back. Incredible views of the city, the Cascade Mountains, and the Olympic Mountains will be the backdrop for an urban wildlife exploration and journey along a peninsula rich in history.
