Paul Holes is one of America's famed cold case investigators, but you may know of his work through another famous name—Michelle McNamara, who investigated the Golden State Killer, consulted with Holes, and even wrote a book about it (I'll Be Gone in the Dark) before her untimely death in 2016. In Unmasked: My Life Solving America's Cold Cases, Holes digs into his complex career of crime-solving and the 24-year process that ultimately led to the arrest of the Golden State Killer, a 76-year-old former cop named Joseph J. DeAngelo.
