The following description comes from the event organizer.

The Jack Straw Foundation presents the immersive exhibition F40.298: Generalized Opus Foramina by New Media Gallery resident artist Peter Christenson. For this project, Christenson, a once-licensed psychotherapist, captures and exhibits sound and video from holes dug across WA state, seeking dialogue and prognoses with his ailing client, Earth. As is the case with the F40.298 installation at Jack Straw, Christenson regularly titles his art with diagnostic codes from theDiagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders positing his practice as a longitudinal qualitative case study into identity, pathology, place, and the human condition.
