When I was in the midst of deciding whether or not to move to Seattle, and flying out here to visit my lover, Radical Face (folktronic Jacksonville singer-songwriter Ben Cooper) was among the artists that always seemed to pop up on the Pandora stations I preferred at the time. I didn’t know Radical Face back then, but his youthfully high-toned vocal and finely wrought melodies always soundtracked my triumphant arrival (especially “Welcome Home, Son”) and forlorn departure, and will be forever tied to that period of time.
