The following description comes from the event organizer.
Fourth-generation West Seattleite Teresa K. Miller will read from her National Poetry Series–winning collection, Borderline Fortune, at Paper Boat Booksellers on Wednesday, June 1, at 6:30 p.m. Since launching her book virtually with Elliott Bay Book Co. in October 2021, Miller has appeared on NPR's Bookworm and received a favorable review in Publishers Weekly. Her co-reader, fellow National Poetry Series winner Amanda Moore, will read from her debut collection, Requeening, which was featured in O: The Oprah Magazine. Miller and Moore will also appear together on a panel titled "Inheriting the Earth: West Coast Poets on What Gets Passed Down" at Orcas Island Lit Fest on Saturday, June 4, with Seattle poets Bill Carty and Michael Schmeltzer.
