Rock Lottery
Twenty-five musicians are organized into five bands through a lottery-style selection, and are then released to their respective practice locations. The musicians have 12 hours to determine a band name and create three to five songs (only one of which can be a cover) before returning to the venue for a performance. Proceeds benefit Black Fret Seattle, a nonprofit that provides financial assistance to up-and-coming musicians.
