Second Inversion Listening Party
"Second Inversion is launching a brand new weekly show on Classical KING FM 98.1—and YOU can be among the first to hear it! Join us for an exclusive listening party to hear the debut episode of Second Inversion before the show’s official launch on KING FM.
Our listening party will be held upstairs in the Red Velvet Lounge at the Rendezvous. Capacity is limited, so please RSVP if you plan to attend. If any accommodations are needed, please contact us at secondinversion@king.org.
Second Inversion will air Saturday nights from 10-11pm. The show, hosted by Maggie Molloy, is the continuation of a broader contemporary classical web publication and online radio stream established at KING FM in 2014.
Each week’s episode is based around a different theme or trend in contemporary music. Our debut episode (airing February 8) examines unusual instruments in classical music, ranging from toy pianos to turntables to 2x4 planks of wood. Plus, we'll talk about Seattle's unique role in expanding the composer toolkit.
