Six
Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived: Henry VIII's six wives really went through it, but their stories are far more complex than the violence he inflicted on them. Fans of the sexed-up Showtime series The Tudors should dig this musical adaptation of their stories (and the king's villainy)—the production transforms his unlucky wifeys into corseted, badass pop icons. It's truly what Anne Boleyn's headless legacy deserves. Six "totally rules," according to the New York Times; the musical also won a Tony for best original score.
