DREA MARILYN

Drea Marilyn is a Filipino-American neo-soul, indie pop and Americana singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from San Diego, now based in Seattle. Best known for her sweet, dreamy vocals, earnest lyrics and magnetic live performances, Drea’s sound has been compared to Norah Jones, Feist and Fiona Apple with a playful twist of bossa nova. Drea is no stranger to the limelight, having previously toured America, Canada, South Korea and The Philippines with her band ‘Drea & the Marilyns’, a 3-piece indie rock/pop outfit. In 2015, following the release of their debut EP ‘En Route’ (2014), their single ‘Moons’ was nominated for ‘Up and Coming Rock Band’ at the WomenInCharg3 Music Awards. In 2018, the group performed at The NAMM Show in Anaheim, California. Originally from San Diego, just 10 miles from the US/Mexico border, Drea was raised in a traditional Filipino household that loved music. After graduating early with a degree in Classical Piano, Drea moved to Korea and formed the first iteration of ‘Drea & the Marilyns’. The independent singer-songwriter says that making music is her primary form of self-expression: “I always had a hard time putting things into words, so music became the one means of communication I was decent at. I have a story to tell that I know others can relate to, whether that’s growing up first-generation or feeling like a misfit.” Drea Marilyn is now working on exciting new material with her band, scheduled for release in 2021. Follow the indie pop songstress for new music and updates.

HAMAHATA

LUCAS VAN LINDEN

Lucas Van Linden is a Seattle-based singer-songwriter who grounds his lush vocals with sincere, narrative lyrics. Cinematic in scope, but intimate in practice, he draws you into each story hoping you’ll uncover some undeniable, raw vein of feeling. With foundational training in musical theater and opera, a nostalgia for the Golden Age movie musicals, and a genuine desire to make you cry, Lucas invites you into this safe, sacred space to freely experience and express your innermost thoughts and feelings. Whatever is hidden will be brought to light here, if you’ll allow.
