The following description comes from the event organizer.

After a year filled with so much trauma, the current situation in Afghanistan has us wanting to reach our arms out in support. So on September 23rd we’ll be gathering to make food and share stories. In this class OMID ROUSTAEI will teach you how to make chaar masalah (Afghan spice mixture), samaroq (traditional Afghan vegetable curry); and challaw (seasoned Afghan-style rice). This class will have a gentle pace, allowing time to share and cook in solidarity. All proceeds from this class will go to WORLD RELIEF SEATTLE to support their mission to help refugees resettling in the Pacific Northwest.

This is a live, hands-on cooking class held in your kitchen via Zoom. Class is meant to be as interactive as it would be at our table, with the instructor teaching you how to prepare each recipe. Each class ticket is for one kitchen, and we welcome group cooking on the same screen. To learn more about how class will go visit our FAQ PAGE.
