Three Asian poets, two of whom work in the video game industry, will share their insights on the poetics of programming languages, gaming, AI, and robotics. Neil Aitken, Betsy Aoki, and Margaret Rhee have crafted award-winning poems through these technologies and continue to explore how intersections of identity inform our interactions with computers. The poets contend that integrating technology into creative work can be a unique method toward deeper exploration of societal issues, and they invite attendees to consider these formats for their own creative inspiration.
