The following description comes from the event organizer.

From 2002 to 2009, These Arms Are Snakes operated like an engine that was about to rattle apart at its seams. Their sound was difficult to pin down—there were hints of noise rock tonalities, prog ambition, classic rock swagger, and ‘90s DIY hardcore energy, but they always operated on their own idiosyncratic wavelength. They were one of those bands that never quite fit in anywhere, which could explain why they were able to tour with bands ranging from Mastodon to Minus the Bear, Blood Brothers to Boris. Or why labels as sonically diverse as Jade Tree, Hydra Head, Suicide Squeeze, and Touch & Go put out their records. They toured relentlessly across the US, Europe, Japan, and Australia, always flirting with financial ruin, mechanical failure, and physical exhaustion in the process. Not surprisingly, they didn’t end their seven-year run with a bang so much as a whimper. Their inadvertent “final” show was an unceremonious tour stop at The Vera Project on October 17, 2009, and the set was cut short when a crucial piece of equipment died in a plume of black smoke and electrical sparks. The band paused to lick their wounds, and never managed to get back out into the wild. Almost 12 years later, These Arms Are Snakes return to the stage to put a more fitting cap on their whirlwind history. Is it a reunion? Not so much. Think of it more as an absurdly delayed final show. It’s a chance for a beloved band that was once held together by duct tape and fueled almost exclusively by drink tickets to finally deliver their ambitious sound to their hometown in a well-rested and well-oiled manner. Don’t be mistaken—things will be broken, chaos will ensue, and someone on stage will probably wind up bleeding by the end of the night. But that’s always been the charm of These Arms Are Snakes—that question of whether or not they’re actually going to pull it all off. Show up and find out.
