Master traditional Irish fiddler Gerry O' Connor returns to Seattle in a virtual concert and live zoom chat with audience afterwards, for the Seattle Folklore Society on May 8th, 7pm Pacific time, with noted accompanist Richard Mandel, from San Francisco. Award winning fiddler Gerry has performed with the cream of Irish trad musicians, such as the Chieftains, Bothy Band, De Danann, Planxty, Boys of the Lough, and more, as well as his own acclaimed bands La lugh, Oirialla, and Skylark. Gerry recently recorded a video and transcribed a book on the music of his home area of Ireland, Oriel, called "The Rose In The Gap," a beautiful collection of unique dance tunes.

As a first-call accompanist, Richard has performed with legendary Irish musicians including Paddy Keenan, Jimmy Keane, Mick Moloney, Paddy O'Brien, Tony DeMarco and many others.

Gerry's warmth and rapport with the audience, and his mastery of bow and fiddle promise an evening that will be a real treat for all!
