The following description comes from the event organizer.

A story that would readerly appeal for the subject matter alone - the story of a Tibetan family living through the trauma of exile and diaspora that many Tibetan refugees and families have had to endure the past half-century and more - but that attains a whole other level with the compelling power,  beauty and artistry of the writing by Tsering Yangzom Lama with her extraordinary first novel, We Measure the Earth With Our Bodies (Bloomsbury). Tsering Yangzom Lama was born and raised in Nepal, and has lived in recent years in Vancouver, Toronto, and New York City. She has really done it with this novel, taken the measure of what life and hold and be.
