The following description comes from the event organizer.

Wellspring Family Services presents Unhoused, a 2-part community conversation with experts and community leaders addressing one of the greatest crises facing our society, family homelessness.  We have gathered leaders from the areas of research, community service providers and government to have a frank conversation that will educate and raise awareness. This is an issue effecting 1/20 children in our state and very few know it even exists! We will explore what family homelessness is, it’s impacts and what is being done to create and effect change.

 Panelists will include:

·         Peter Drury, Chief Strategy & Interim Housing Officer, Wellspring Family Services

·         Michelle Merriweather, President, Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle

·         Shkëlqim Kelmendi, Founder & Executive Director, Housing Connector

·         Asa Tate, Chief Development Officer, Wellspring Family Services

·         Kirsten Harris-Talley, Washington State Representative, 37th District

·         David M. Wertheimer, Advocate for People Experiencing Homelessness

This is a “free” online event that all are welcome to attend.  Attend for one day or both, you will be sent a weblink to attend the event once you have registered.

We can assure you this will be one of the most important and enlightening hours you will spend this fall.  We hope you will join us!
