As you wander through the Kubota Garden (on July 28) and the Seattle Japanese Garden (on Aug 1), you'll find butoh (Japanese avant-garde dance) performers scattered around the landscape. Joan Laage of Kogut Butoh will direct, while Gyre will provide music. If you can't make it to these events, you can still check out photo exhibitions at the Japanese Garden and at Fresh Flours.
