In a city whose food scene changes practically every day, it's common to see some repeat gimmicks and trends (pork belly and poke, we're looking at you!). But Fremont's Chinese pizzeria Chinapie is out to prove that some food fads may be here to stay. Chinapie serves up inventive homemade pizzas like the "Pomerol" (foie gras, hoisin sauce, Morbier cheese, and a quail egg) alongside smaller bites like chicken pho soup dumplings (with charred onion, scallion, ginger, and mint). If the thought of pizza with a side of dumplings never occurred to you, you may want to reconsider.
