Cloudburst Brewing is the project of former Elysian Brewing employees, including head brewer and owner Steve Luke, who previously worked as Elysian’s experimental brewer. The spirit of experimentation is alive and well at Cloudburst: Its rotating roster of taps might include a stout brewed with oyster shells, a “market fresh” saison with cranberries and sage, and a blonde ale laced with grains of paradise, coriander, and other spices. While the beers are far from simple, Cloudburst’s 7,000-square-foot warehouse is. There’s a television, but no food (beer drinkers are encouraged to bring their own snacks). Dogs are welcome, but children are not, as Cloudburst is 21-and-older.
