Sound Spirits
Holding the title of First Legal Distillery in Seattle since Prohibition, Sound Spirits is run by the extremely nice Steven Stone. On Saturday afternoons (or by appointment), he will give you four free half-ounce samples in the Sound Spirits tasting room of, say, his vodka (Ebb + Flow, smooth and slightly sweet, distilled from Washington barley) or his gin (unnamed at this writing, made with natural botanicals, like getting tongued by a pine tree [in a good way]). Hooray for local booze!
