Vote that horrible Cheeto out of office! Now that The Stranger has released its endorsements for the 2020 general election (which, other than obviously endorsing Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, checks “yes” on all seven amendments to the King County Charter), it’s time to open your ballot, grab a black (not blue or any other color) pen, and vote for the good of yourself, the planet, and everyone around you by voting Trump out of office. After you’ve sealed it in the provided envelope and signed and dated it, it’s ready to be stuffed into your nearest ballot box. “Just think of each little bubble we tell you to fill out as a big old FUCK YOU to the cretins who separate children at the border, who steal from the poor and give to Steve Mnuchin's friends while they watch the planet melt, who want to keep a boot on the neck of Black people and people of color, who back a dissembling, mendacious, pussy-grabbing, xenophobic, white supremacist super-spreader hell-bent on ensuring you never get to vote for another President again,” writes the Stranger Election Control Board. Maybe you can treat yourself to one (or a dozen) of Cupcake Royale's voting-themed cupcakes as a post-ballot drop treat.

Seattle Is Marching Past Event Like List
The organizers of the national Women's March are calling for a march in D.C. on October 17 to "make our resistance clear" and "finish the work we started three years ago." There will also be a companion march in downtown Seattle, the organizers of which write, "We skipped the last march in January 2020 [due to snow]. Well some of us were there. Let’s all show up this time for Ruth & John and well to make some 'good trouble'!" Note that this event is organized by private citizens, and unaffiliated with the official Seattle Women's March organization, so it's likely to be smaller than you're expecting, but you'll probably still see plenty of signs and pussy hats.

Bakers and Makers Against Racism Past Event Like List
Explore wares from more than 10 local makers and bakers at this outdoor pop-up market raising money for antiracist causes, featuring cake cups, greeting cards, chocolate truffles, honey, tea, pickles, jams, can dancers, dog goodies, cotton masks, plants, jewelry, bread, baked goods, and tarot card readings.

Celebrate National Pasta Day. We’re sure you don’t need any further encouragement to settle in with a warm bowl of comforting carbs, but just in case you do, this Saturday is National Pasta Day. Might we suggest paying a visit to Pike Place Market Like List ’s Pasta Casalinga Like List for some artisanal handmade pasta dishes and take-and-bake entrees? Or, for a DIY option, swing by the specialty Italian food shop DeLaurenti Like List (also located in Pike Place) for plenty of imported goods like pasta, cheese, canned tomatoes, and more to whip up your own masterpiece. Order Tom Douglas’s West Wing-themed package for a reunion viewing party at home. Perhaps you’ve heard that the cast of Aaron Sorkin’s feel-good political drama The West Wing have reunited for a staged version of the show’s season three episode “Hartsfield’s Landing.” The performance, which was filmed at Los Angeles’s Orpheum Theatre earlier this month and went live on HBO Max this Thursday, benefits the nonprofit When We All Vote, which aims to increase voter turnout and participation in American elections. Guest appearances include Barack Obama, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Elisabeth Moss, Samuel L. Jackson, and Sterling K. Brown. If you’d like to accompany your viewing at home with a themed meal, check out Tom Douglas’s “West Wing(s)” dinner box for two, which includes punnily named creations like the “Josh ‘Lyman The Coconut’ Cocktail” and “CJ Creggs and Bacon.” The box is available for preorder Wednesday-Sunday all month to be picked up at Serious TakeOut Like List , and a portion of proceeds from each sale go to When We All Vote. Visit Tukwila’s new global food hall Spice Bridge. If you’ve worn out all your usual takeout spots, maybe it’s time to venture beyond the city limits and try something new. As part of its Food Business Incubator Program, which helps boost women of color and immigrants opening their own food businesses, the Food Innovation Network has launched a new food hall called Spice Bridge Like List in Tukwila Village, featuring several different vendors with cuisines from around the world in one convenient location. The current stalls include Moyo Kitchen (a fusion of Somali, Kenyan, and Tanzanian cuisine), Seatango (an Argentinian-owned bakery with baked goods like alfajores, empanadas, and flan), Taste of Congo (Congolese cuisine), Afella Jollof Catering (Gambian and Senegalese cuisine), Theary (Cambodian cuisine), Jazze's (Afghan cuisine), Wuha (Ethiopian-American cuisine), and Wengay's Kitchen (Filipino cuisine).

Drive-Thru Cider Squeeze Past Event Like List
This year, the historic Meeker Mansion is offering its annual Cider Squeeze event in drive-thru form. Pull up to the Puyallup landmark to enjoy local apple cider, hard cider from Cockrell Hard Ciders, caramel apples, and apple fritters. There will also be a Model A car show featuring the Gallopin Gertie Car Club, an Oregon Trail covered wagon with "Ezra and Eliza Jane Meeker," and an Oregon Trail game you can play from your vehicle.

Great American Beer Festival Past Event Like List
Usually held in Denver, this annual festival for beer lovers will offer Great American Beer Festival passport holders exclusive access to deals at participating festival breweries in Seattle (and nationwide). They'll also have a virtual event featuring "tips and tricks to enhance beer knowledge and enjoyment; lager lore and sudsy stories from craft beer luminaries; profiles of breweries and individuals that are transforming their communities one beer at a time; and flavor fusions through beer and food pairings to tantalize the taste buds."

Li'l Woody's Fast Food Month Past Event Like List
For the month of October, local burger joint Li'l Woody's is cleverly recreating fast food favorites for its weekly specials. This week brings the Jack in the Box-inspired Sourdough Woody, with mayo, ketchup, sliced tomatoes, Hill's bacon, Swiss cheese, and grass-fed beef on sourdough. Nightmare on Wall Street Past Event Like List
As a spooky-season tradition, Belltown’s award-winning tiki bar Navy Strength temporarily transforms into a “fully immersive haunting experience" each October, with libations inspired by classic and modern horror flicks. This year, they're bringing the spine-chilling immersive experience home to you with weekly cocktail kits for you to take home, make, and enjoy while watching the film they're based on, complete with popcorn, snacks, and your very own keepsake zombie glass. This year's lineup includes drinks inspired by Mandy, It Follows, Sleepaway Camp, and more.

Celebrate International Independent Video Store Day by making an appointment to visit Seattle’s favorite cavernous lair of hard-copy films, Scarecrow Video! While timed visits won't allow for spending your whole day scanning every single shelf, you're still bound to experience a dizzying sensory overload (in a good way). They're also celebrating online this Saturday with a Video Store Day Telethon Past Event Like List promising deals, exclusive merch, and special guests—including The Stranger's own Jasmyne Keimig and Chase Burns (around 4:30 pm), who will likely chat about their column Unstreamable, wherein they review movies that aren't available online, but that are often available at trusty ol' Scarecrow. Brooklyn- and Mexico City-based artist Marela Zacarías returns to her original practice of mural painting in this floor-to-ceiling exhibition, which surrounds a wooden-framed pyramid inspired by the emblematic Temple of the Feathered Serpent in Xochicalco, a Meso-American archeological site close to Zacarías’ family home in Cuernavaca, Mexico. You can stop by the open studio to see the artist creating the piece, which, once completed, will be on view through December.
